As usual, Christmas weekend was a very busy time. We started with gatherings Thursday night and wrapped them all up on Sunday! It was so fun watching Avery this year. This was the first year that she acutally got the gift opening idea and wasn't more interested in the paper and bows! At each gathering, she would say after opening all her many gifts....."I got just what I wanted!" And that truly was the case....I don't think one thing on her list was overlooked. I guess that is what you get when you are the only grandchild on two of the three sides! Santa brought Avery a kitchen set, that has provided HOURS of entertainment already! Santa really knew what he was doing when he made that ;)! The day after Christmas, we headed up to Fargo for our last gathering. Avery has two second cousins there that are her age. I can't tell you how fun it is watching the three of them interact with each other. Her cousins, Cole and Alex, each had a Handy Manny toolbox....Avery was feeling a little left of by not getting one.....so she kind of took over those tools for the aftenroon. Our plan is to get her one of her own ;)
