Family Update

I figure that since it has been almost a year again since my last post, I'd give this a go again!  Much has changed since last November.  Our biggest being a new addition to our family: Asher Jacob.  He was born July 10 and has been a dream!  We didn't know what we were having, so it was truly a surprise for many family members when we announced that we had a baby boy!  Avery has been the BEST big sister.  We were worried a bit that she would be disappointed with a brother, all through the pregnancy she kept saying she wanted a sister.  But when told she had a brother, her exact words were, "AHHH, that's JUST what a I wanted!"  Asher's delivery couldn't have been easier; after just two hours of labor he entered this world!  He's been extremely laid back every since.  At almost three months, I'm happy to say he is closer to sleeping through the night than his sister was at this same age.  He will be asleep for the night around 8 and usually gets up around 4 or 5 for a bottle and then back to bed until about 7 or 8.

My original plan was to be home on maternity leave through MEA break, but after a couple of weeks hanging out with both kiddos, I quickly decided to extend my leave until after Thanksgiving.  I'm loving being at home, running Avery to preschool, and just being a full-time mommy, but I do miss my friends and "kids" at school, so I'm looking forward to rejoining the out-side world in November as well.  Here are a few photos of the last couple of months......I promise there will be more to come! :)
